Why website speed matters for Google ranking and sales

Most visitors in Bangladesh browse on mobile data. Here is how speed affects rankings, and five practical fixes for a slow site.

Google uses page experience signals, including Core Web Vitals, when ranking pages. More importantly, real visitors leave slow sites. On a mobile connection, every extra second of loading loses people before they see your offer.

What Core Web Vitals measure

  • LCP — how quickly the main content appears (aim for under 2.5 seconds)
  • INP — how quickly the page responds when someone taps (under 200 ms)
  • CLS — whether the layout jumps while loading (under 0.1)

Five fixes that usually help

  1. Convert images to WebP and serve the right size for each screen.
  2. Remove unused plugins, sliders and heavy page builders.
  3. Use page caching and a CDN such as Cloudflare.
  4. Load chat widgets, pixels and maps only when needed.
  5. Choose hosting with fast storage and enough resources for your traffic.
